WE MADE A FIRE
A few sparks was all it took,
A flame to ignite.
Hot, hot, hot!
A huge fire growing,
Intense and bright.
Â
We danced around it naked,
Fuelling our desires.
Skin-on-skin, mouth-on-mouth,
We could not take it!
The flames licked higher and higher,
Burning us inside.
Â
In the cold light of morning,
There was nothing to be found.
Sooty footprints intertwined,
Smoky kisses in the air,
And two bodies burned to the ground.
Â
Except, what is this? The detective exclaims!
Only one human body it seems,
The other a dog-like companion, completing the remains.
He smiles- Ah, a truer love can never be found!
That explains the two bodies, burned to the ground…
